Transport Policy

Parents or other responsible adults are responsible for transporting players to and from all matches and practice sessions.

The club will not register private vehicles for player transportation. However, families facing transport difficulties should contact the Club Safeguarding Officer to discuss possible solutions.

Where lift-sharing arrangements are made between families, these are private arrangements and the club accepts no responsibility for them.

Managing Children During Activities

Team managers have a responsibility to maintain player safety during all club activities. Before any event, managers should communicate:

Managers require medical information and emergency contact numbers for all participants when parents are not attending events. The club maintains individual player profiles developed through Junior Membership Forms submitted by families.

Supervision Ratios

The club follows ECB guidance on appropriate supervision ratios for different age groups and activities. There should always be at least two adults present when supervising children.

Missing Child Protocol

The club follows ECB guidance for locating missing children, emphasising organised searching over panic responses. Key procedures include:

  1. Secure remaining children while organising the search
  2. Notify parents immediately - children may contact them independently
  3. Deploy searchers to exits and hazardous areas first
  4. Establish a central reporting point with detailed documentation
  5. Contact police within 20 minutes if the search is unsuccessful
  6. Alert the Club Safeguarding Officer immediately, who will escalate to county and ECB officials
