Our junior section is at the heart of Draycott & Hanbury Cricket Club. We provide a safe, fun and supportive environment where young cricketers can develop their skills, make friends and enjoy the game.
We are proud to hold ECB Clubmark accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to providing high-quality, safe cricket for young players.
We run teams and training for the following age groups:
Ages 5-8. Introduction to cricket through fun activities and games.
Saturday mornings · 8 week course · Dates TBC
Coach: Paul LeppingtonAges 8-11. The next step in the cricket journey with more structured play.
Saturday mornings · 8 week course · Dates TBC
Coaches: Allen Clark & Nicola ClarkHardball cricket with pairs format. Regular training and matches.
Matches: Monday evenings · Approx. 6pm start
Coach: Julie WellsCompetitive cricket in local leagues with full rules.
Matches: Sunday mornings · Approx. 10am start
Coach: Allen ClarkDevelopment cricket preparing for senior transition.
Matches: Thursday evenings · 6pm start
Coach: Paul HolmesBridge to senior cricket with opportunities to play for adult teams.
Matches: Monday evenings · 6pm start
Coach: Wayne LawtonOutdoor training takes place on Tuesday evenings during the season (weather permitting). Sessions are run by our team of qualified coaches and volunteers.

The safety and wellbeing of our junior members is our top priority. All our coaches are DBS checked and have completed safeguarding training. We follow ECB guidelines and have a dedicated Safeguarding Officer.
